Wonder how that would have gone at the dealers - I also wondered if there would have been a fault code on the immobiliser that would point to it - if there wasn't, I'm pretty sure there would be alot of head scratching. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, BMW Data Cable - Ediabas Inpa DIS SSS Progman Navcoder - USB to OBD. Be interesting if the kids got in there while you weren't looking. Told him to go into the base Andriod settings and disable iBus app. More specifically - it took me a few minutes to realise he was playing with the iBus app. After a few questions about what's going on, he mentions he was just playing around with all the settings in "the screen" and the car hasn't started since - "not tech savy, I don't really understand all this". Couple weeks later I get a call from the new owner wanting some advice - he's quite a way from home and the car won't start. When you are making changes with something like IID Tool or NavCoder it is obvious that you're in an environment where it could go wrong - however iBus app makes it feel like a well sorted factory interface. And being an Andriod free for all, quality can't be guaranteed. I installed a 7" unit in my 2004 TD6 about 4 years ago (before the 10" screens came along) had the iBus app doing all cool things but user beware, it is possible to cause problems as the app is one of the few aftermarket systems that puts messages on the network as apposed to just reading from the network. I wanted to steer well clear of tapping into a +ve supply off any of the connectors just in case there was a short - as the X3 has a power socket in the boot, it makes it so much safer and you can disconnect the power very easily. The iBus app is a powerful piece. With both the TV and Nav boxes so accessible under the LH side cover in the boot, it makes sense to go in there. mam X 3.0D, pred asom mi odila navi mk3, kupil som inú ta funguje bez problemov mapy mam 2011, ale neviem ju nijako nakodova. I didn't use the CD Changer connector as I have the changer fitted which is in the centre console in the X3 and is a real pain to get out. Note: the interface is NOT available anymore.

I was thinking more of a specialist who had Navcoder and a Resler Cable and definitely not a stealer I get the comment about supporting the guys making Navcoder and the Resler Cable and I do know you can do other things so am happy to invest in them. Highest Quality Cable - This cable uses the latest quality chipset and has built in surge protection which other similar cables do not have. I found the easiest was to do the following.ġ) make up or solder up a lead with a 12v fused power receptacle plug to connect to the +ve & -ve on the Resler interface.Ģ) take a long single strand wire from the i-bust connection on the Resler interface.ģ) on the TV tuner (or Nav computer), locate the i-bus wire, and poke the single strand wire into the back of the connector - you may need to free the connector from the latching cover, but that is easy as it just slides off. Any help will be apreciated (some photos of where is that wire would be a great help).
